Revibe is a 4-piece jam fusion band that blends tight composition with adventurous improvisation. The result is a unique and complex sound which transitions seamlessly between memorable songs and energetic improvisational segments. Drawing on a wide array of musical influences, Revibe creates a sound that appeals to a large spectrum of musical tastes. Sets can vary, featuring infectious funk grooves, high energy electro, mellow jazz and heavy progressive rock. Hailing from Burlington VT, Revibe has been building a steady following around New England.
AFTER FUNK is a fun filled, soul driven, power funk explosion. Hailed as “The grooviest band north of the border” (Live for Live Music), the Toronto based funk family has been blazing a trail through the music scene leaving only happy hearts and dancing feet in their wake. The combination of Yanick Allwood (keyboards& vocals), Jaime Rosenberg (drums), Justin Bontje (bass), and Phil Tessis (guitar) results in an infectiously fun show, as well as virtuosity and beauty that will challenge your musical mind. After Funk’s sound and hard work have not gone unnoticed either. They were selected as the Electric Forest’s Instrumental Forester, which earned them two sets at the festival in 2014. The band has features alongside other familiar artists like Lettuce, Snarky Puppy, Dumpstaphunk, Kung Fu, The Nth Power and Walk Off the Earth.
Look out for After Funk’s extensive fall tour, including dates at Great North Festival, Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival, and the Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues festival in St. John’s Newfoundland. The band has released 2 albums to help you prepare for the experience: ‘Til The Sun Comes Up (2015) features Canadian hip-hop legend Choclair and earned over $10,000 in crowd funkding presales and their self-titled debut EP was mixed and mastered by Alan Evans of Soulive. Both albums promise to have you rocking out and singing along to catchy melodies and funky grooves. But if you truly want to find out what comes after the funk, you’ll just have to come experience it for yourself!
