Journey back to a time when the music was dope, the girls were fly, and the fashion was fresher than the Prince of Bel Air. This is LAZER DAD, the tribute band that serves up a shot of nostalgia straight from the heart, with the hits of the 1990s! LAZER DAD is a heat-seeking missile of fun that’ll blast you out of your seat and onto the dance floor. Together, they bring to life the deep cuts and hottest hits that defined a decade; from the grunge stylings of Nirvana to the pop appeal of Third Eye Blind, to the funk metal fury of Rage Against the Machine and the sultry crooning of Alanis Morissette LAZER DAD is guaranteed to make you stand up and shout, “oh, hot damn, this is my jam!”
Because we fell in love with some girls at a rock show…
In 2009, drummer Jane Boxall dreamed of playing blink-182 songs through a “pink” (queer/feminist) lens. A mere decade later, Boxall connected with classical violist turned bass shredder Cassandra Besso, true blink-aficionado frontwoman Alaina Hall, and firestarter singer-guitarist Miku Daza. At Burlington’s Night Doll Fest 2019, the audience danced, screamed along, wept, and kept asking “when can we see this band again?” In early 2020, Miku stepped back to focus on other projects, and guitarist Corey Selover joined the crew. From Vermont to anywhere audiences ask “what’s my age again?”, PINK-802 brings the pop-punk/patriarchy-pummelling power.
