Organically Good Trio

ft. members of Slightly Stoopid, John Brown’s Body and Dub Apocalypse

Organically Good Trio is a Hammond organ driven roots instrumental group out of Boston. Founded by Slightly Stoopid keyboard player Paul Wolstencroft, the band has a sound reminiscent of the great organ trio albums of the late 60’s Mixed with a reggae organ trio style. Hailing from Boston, the band has created a new sound among organ trio music.  A mixture of reggae, soul, and boogaloo the band is  forging a new path forward both in live shows, and in the recording studio.

The band has just released its new CD Monster Sound which debuted at #8 on the iTunes reggae charts.  Described as a mix between the sounds of Jackie Mittoo, Ernest Ranglin and Burning Spear, the album is quickly gaining a lot of attention and can be found here

Conscious Roots

As Northern Vermonts roots reggae band, Conscious Roots has come together to create a mix of original music blending afro-beat rhythms, ska, jazz, and rock. Celebrating our fifth year together, our style has been compared to Rage Against the Machine meets the fathers of reggae. The philosophy held is that this is not a place but a state of mind that continues throughout daily life. With a progressive message of hope and unity we have become Vermonts biggest underground reggae band, where we hold our community of people to the highest regards. Picking up Grammy nominated drummer Jason Corbiere, Room Full of Blues, this band of Vermonters has taken the next step towards the ultimate goal of bringing people together, no matter what differences we have. Everybody keep truckin’ and we’ll see ya at the next show.
