ShwizZ is cast of very skilled extraordinary characters grooving hard out of the Northeast. This enormous sound is best described as a melting pot of hard progressive rock and colorful funkadelic jazz. With an incredibly diverse catalogue of unique original music and a contagious incomparable energy, ShwizZ is celebrated for their signature high octane performances that have been garnering fans everywhere they perform.
ShwizZ has been making a ruckus on the Northeast festival circuit. Summer of 2013 boasted tremendously note worthy appearances at RockNRoll Resort, The Big Up Music Festival, Opple Topple, Gathering at The Great Divide, and of course Catskill Chill Music Festival. ShwizZ has become part of Chillfest allure over the past 3 years, being at the epicenter of the mythical late night cabin jams, and taking the show to a whole different level at The Chill.
The group has recently embarked on a weekly residency at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester NY, dubbed Electric Eclectric Tuesdays. ShwizZ has shared bills and stages with acts such as Umphrey’s McGee, Primus, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Particle, Dopapod, Jimkata, Kung Fu, Consider The Source, FiKus, Turkuaz, TAUK, Dr. Fameus (Allen of The Disco Biscuits), Sam Kininger Band, Melvin Seals & JGB, Turtle Soup, and many many more.
Based out of Burlington, Vermont, Binger elusively sheds any genre that manages to stick to them (often within the same song). Combining elements of progressive psych rock with the grooves and lyricism of jazz-minded hip-hop to create a style that gracefully skirts the line between delightful and perplexing; inventing a sound that reels you in, and keeps you there, with a cohesive yet eclectic energy.
Binger channels the manifold musical scene of New England through their ever expanding exploration of all music accessible to the airwaves, having shared stages with Atmosphere, Sophistafunk, Polyrhythmics, Sidewalk Chalk, BIG Something, Lynguistic Civilians, and more. Look to see Binger at a venue near you in 2017.
